Soldiers in the blacksmiths, Great Expectations, 1981. The set was created in Studio A of Pebble Mill.

The following comment was added to the Pebble Mill Facebook page:

Camilla Fisher: ‘Tony Fisher worked on this production and also took photos. A few years later our daughter told her teacher that her daddy had been at the battle of Waterloo. She was disbelieved. So to prove her point she took the photos into to school.’

Photos from the 1981 serial of Great Expectations. The drama was recorded in Studio A. Pip, was played by Gerry Sundquist.

The producer was Barry Letts and the director, Julian Amyes.

Before and after stills of a snowy street scene in the BBC2, 1988 drama serial, Sophia and Constance. I think this scene was recorded at the Black Country Museum.

Angels shoot on M42

Motorway pile-up shoot for the hospital drama, Angels probably  in 1982. This was staged on the M42 prior to its opening. In the top photo, Albert puts the finishing touches to a car which has run into the back of a lorry. Included in the top photo are Bob Farr, John Bull and Jimmy King.

Albert has added the following information: ‘Stan’s job was to mark the floor with tape each time furniture moved for camera shots and the other chap was John Mills, sadly both guys no longer with us, seems like yesterday when I took that picture, they were good times.’
